Thousands of demonstrators thronged Islamic Society of Frederick on Friday, in Near-freezing temperatures
Over 1,500 Frederick County residents gathered at the Islamic Society of Fredrick late afternoon Friday for a Solidarity With our Muslim Neighbor rally in Near-freezing temperatures to demand for an end to President Trump’s executive order barring citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from entering the U.S.
Our sincere thanks to all who showed up last Friday in freezing temperatures to stand up for freedom and justice for all. We are grateful to be part of a community of the brave and the free, who with their presence showed that the American foundations of equality, humanity and justice still stand strong.
A big thanks to the organizers: Kate MacShane, Ben MacShane and Alicia Barmon; who decided that they will not just stand by and watch America be corroded by racism and bigotry.
Also thanks to all the unnamed volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this happen. We could not have done this without any of you.
United we stand.
